Race date: Saturday June 20th.
There is a maximum of 600 entries.
Race day registration will not be available on site in 2026.
There is no bike check for 2026. Parents are reminded that they are accountable for their child’s bicycle to be in safe working condition. Bicycles with clip-in pedals or aerobars are only allowed for participants born 2010-2011, and not allowed for other age groups. This is for the safety of participants.
All bicycles must be in transition by 7:45 am on June 20th.
Bikes should be dropped off in transition at the Kingston Memorial Centre on Friday, June 19th between 4pm and 7pm and moved into the Transition Area.
For 2026, Bike drop-off will be in the west parking lot near the agricultural barns.
We strongly encourage this to avoid line-ups on Saturday morning. Security guards and fencing will be in place around transition overnight.
In the interest of preventing accidental or intentional theft of property, bicycles cannot leave the transition area without the participant with related number being with the bicycle.
We take a break from the regular triathlon format which typically includes a swim. For 2026, the Ktown Kids Tri starts with a run, followed by a bike segment, and finishing with a run. RUN-BIKE-RUN.
Swim
The race begins in the pool for every athlete. Athletes will complete the number of laps assigned to their age. Floaties, noodles, and life jackets are permitted. Our life guard team will closely watch all athletes and offer a floatation device to anyone who wishes it, could benefit, or needs it. Athletes are not obligated to accept a device unless it is determined the athlete’s safety is at risk, or the athlete’s ability to complete the pool portion is in doubt..
Cycle
From the pool, the athlete will run or walk to the bike racks, change attire, and walk their bicycle to the cycling section of the race. Athletes will complete the number of laps assigned to their age.
Run
Returning the bicycle to the bike rack, athletes will change any attire in their transition and then run to the track. Athletes will complete the number of laps on the track assigned to their age. The race is completed once the athlete crosses the finish line.
